These instructions will walk you through the few steps required to install the system. Note that this system is compatible with all versions of the Z3, Z3 Coupe and M Roadster or M Coupe, regardless of model year or headlight variation.

Direction on how to install E-Open in to a BMW Z4

On-Board Computer Installation Manual for BMW E36 Compact

The Parts Needed to Install The On-Board Computer (OBC)
On-Board Computer/Clock. It should have 2 buttons: S/R and clock. If it shows only the clock, it should be coded. If you have found one which works as OBC (shows more than just a clock) then it will work with any car, however, the computations of fuel consumption will be based on that car it is taken from. BMW E39 Euro-spec CELIS “Angel Eye” Head Light Installation

This DIY covers the install of Euro-spec CELIS (aka Angel Eye or halo) assemblies on a pre-2001 E39 to mimic the newer-style 2001+ E39 head lights. Note that the Euro-spec a ssemblies do not have the small side parking indicator, which is required for DOT-approval.

2002-04 BMW Mini Cooper BX1301 Installation Instructions

The front fascia is removed for baseplate installation. No holes to drill. The BX8869 is available for the vehicle. Attachment Tabs are 18 inches center to center and a height of 10 1/2 inches. X5 DVD Video System II Installation Guide

It took me about 4 hours to complete the installation. The hardest part was the installation of the overhead console. The BMW Installation Instructions states the average installation time for the whole kit as 2.5 hours. I took my time to make sure that it’s done right and not damage the interior or headliner. If your headliner color is other than black, make sure you use a clean pair of painter’s gloves to protect the headliner from smudges. Also make sure that you label all cables and connectors as they all look alike.
