Workshop Manual Volvo Penta MD11C D MD17C
The working methods described in the Service Manual apply to work carried out in a workshop. The engine has been removed from the boat and is installed in an engine fixture. Tightening torques-protractor (angle). Do not re-use lock nuts that have been removed during dismantling as they have reduced service life when re-used – use new nuts when assembling or reinstalling.
Component guide : Stop device, Air bleed screw, injection pump, Delivery pipe nut, Lock-screw, crankshaft centre bearing. . Pressure equalizing valve Oil pressure sender. PISTONS AND CONNECTING RODS. Remove the inspection covers on the crankcase (6 mm socket head). MD17: Remove the oil sump and strainer. Remove the carrier on the crankshaft.
