2009 Aston Martin DBS
Aston Martin’s glorious 6.0-litre V12-powered DBS has arrived in New Zealand with two customers already enjoying the stunning hand-crafted vehicle. A sports car with genuine Grand Touring heritage, the six-speed manual DBS was officially launched in August 2007. The race-bred two-seaters started heading out to customers in the United Kingdom and United States earlier this year, and a six-speed Touchtronic automatic transmission option will be available from early 2009.
The Aston Martin DBS was revealed to New Zealand customers at a well-supported function at Independent Prestige on 30 July, with the Lightning Silver-coloured DBS demo car quickly surrounded by eager fans.
“As you can imagine, this is a very highly sought-after motor car,” says Independent Prestige general sales manager Greg Brinck. “Aston Martin has not defined the number of DBS that they will build in total, but they have said it will be a limited volume model.” The DBS retails for around $500,000, depending on specific options selected. There is approximately a six month wait for delivery.
