Procedures for the replacement of the Volkswagen Passat time belt
This is a technical guide step by step to replace the timing belt and water pump for the Volkswagen Passat, 1998-2000 models. The time necessary for 5-12 hours, tools needed: Torx drivers-T20, T25, T30, T45; Contacts-6 mm, 10 mm, 13 mm, 14 mm, 16 mm, 19 mm, 13/16?; Hex (Allen) drivers-5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 14 mm; Torque wrench (es)-this is not obligatory. Procedures: the bumper and bumper removal, get the radiator in position, the time belt removal, the water pump impeller replacement timing belt installation, removal of the radiator Panel and installing the bumper cover, cooler refill and final inspection.
