2003-2008 Dodge Ram 2500/3500 Rear Bumper
1. Unplug all lights and harnesses connected to factory bumper and remove from truck frame.
2. Remove factory tow frame to install new Top Gun rear bumper. In order to remove tow frame, the bed of the truck has to be loosened on lifted 6 inches off the truck frame. Remove 4 bolts towards the rear of the bed, end loosen but do not remove the 2 bolts towards the front of the bed. Lift bed and remove towing frame.
3. Reposition bed to truck frame and secure with bolts removed in step 2. Tighten to 70 lbs. of torque.
4. Attach new bumper to truck frame using 6 – 5in. Bolts provided and hand tighten for now. Align welded bracket to the bottom of the truck frame , insert welded nut plate into frame , to where it will sandwich the truck frame between welded nut plate and bracket plate. Insert 2in. Bolt provided thru bottom , thru truck frame and thread into nut plate on inside of frame.
5. Align bumper and tighten all bolts to 70 lbs. of torque.
6. Wire lights provided to existing wiring on truck. Install trailer plugs to bumper.
