BMW-AUX Pie Part Installation Instructions
The BMW-AUX will convert the CD changer port of any 1995-2003 BMW radio with to an auxiliary input.
DO NOT force connectors together as pin damage may occur. This installation will be flawless if you take your time making the connections described below. Following the installation sequence below is critical to ensure proper recognition of the CD changer by the factory radio.
NOTE: BMW radios are code protected. Verify that the code is available before disconnecting the battery.
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Locate the factory data cable connectors (3-pin and 6-pin).
3. Plug the factory data cable into the 3-pin and 6-pin sOGkets of the BMW-AUX.
4. Connect “Aux Adapter” (see diagram on back) to the BMW-AUX.
5. Connect appropriate length RCA patch cord (not included) between the AUX adapter and auxiliary device.
6. Reconnect vehicle’s negative battery terminal.
VERIFY OPERATION:
1. Select auxiliary mode by pressing MODE button that if, normally used to select CD changer.
2. Radio should indicate disc 1 track 1 playing and auxili,:ry audio should be heard through audio system.
