Operator's manual for JVC GY-HD250U


GY-HD250/GY-HD251 record in HDV or DV. DV format can record and playback video SD (Standard definition) on Mini DV cassettes. The HDV format can record and play video HD (high definition) on Mini DV cassettes. There are two types of formats within the HDV recording. HDV 720 p (720 effective scanning lines, progressive scan) HDV 1080i (1080 effective scanning lines, interlaced) GY-HD250/GY-HD251 supports HDV 720 p format. (HDV 720 p) HDV and are registered trademarks Sony of Corporation and Victor Company of Japan, Limited.


24 p shooting mode function, HDV records 24 p mode. It uses a pull 3 down when recording to tape and convert images in 60 frames. Component output is converted into 60 frames during playback as well. 24 p DV format video uses a dropdown 3 (24 p mode). Also supports a-down well (24 p advanced mode). You can shoot with the same number of frames of movie film.


Tapes recorded in DVCAM format can only be played (simple reproduction). Recording in the DVCAM format is not possible. DVCAM is a registered trademark of Sony Corporation.60 Hz, 50 Hz signals HD or HDTV supports both HD or HDTV signals to 60 Hz, 50 Hz. You can select in a menu screen.Cross-convert output video that you can output converted video from video connectors. You can select in a menu screen.


Outputs composite, component, separate Y/C and RGB signals such as analog video in DV format. Composite and component outputs signal in HDV format.
